Frequently asked questions
The stuff people ask us before they get started. Don’t see yours? Reach out — we like real questions.
What does DigiSavvy actually do?
We build and quietly run WordPress platforms for businesses that depend on their site to make money — design, development, migrations, performance, and the boring-but-critical maintenance that keeps it all from breaking. The goal is a site that just works, so you can stop thinking about it.
How do you price your work?
Fixed, plain-English quotes — never an hourly meter. We start with a free systems review, then hand you a scope and a number you can plan around. No surprise invoices, no getting nickel-and-dimed for every question.
Do you only work with WordPress?
WordPress is our home turf and where we do our best work. We will also tell you honestly when something like Shopify is the smarter call for your situation — we would rather point you to the right tool than sell you the wrong one.
Can you take over a site someone else built?
Yes — most of our clients arrive exactly that way, sometimes mid-emergency. We review what is there, stabilize what is fragile, and document as we go, so you are never held hostage by a developer again. Including us.
How long does a typical project take?
It depends on scope, but most builds run a few weeks to a couple of months. A focused rescue or a tightly-scoped build (like our 10-Day Website) moves much faster. Either way, we give you a realistic timeline up front — not a hopeful one.
Do you handle ongoing maintenance, or just the build?
Both — and we would argue the maintenance is the part that actually protects your investment. Updates, backups, monitoring, and security handled before they become a 2 a.m. problem. Plenty of clients keep us on long after launch for exactly that reason.
What happens after I reach out?
We start with a free systems review — a real look at your site, your goals, and what is getting in the way. From there you get a clear scope, a fixed price, and a plan. No pressure, no jargon, no 14-page proposal you will never read.
Can you rescue a broken, slow, or hacked site?
That is a big chunk of what we do. We stabilize first, figure out what actually went wrong, then put guardrails in place so it does not happen again. You get the site back, and the peace of mind that it will stay back.
Will you work with my existing team and hosting?
Happily. We slot in alongside in-house staff, designers, and marketers all the time, and we are hosting-agnostic — though we are glad to recommend setups that will not fight you. We are here to make your stack calmer, not to plant a flag on it.
What is all this AI and automation you talk about?
Practical things, not hype. We wire up the repetitive busywork — lead routing, onboarding, content workflows, data syncing — so your team spends time on work that actually needs a human. If automation will not genuinely save you time, we will say so.
Who do you work best with?
Founders and teams whose website is core to the business, not a brochure they forget about. If you are tired of firefighting your platform and want someone to just handle it, we are probably a great fit. If you want the cheapest possible option, we are probably not.
Do you do SEO?
We build sites that are fast, clean, and technically sound — the foundation every SEO effort sits on. We handle the technical and on-page essentials and play nicely with whatever SEO or marketing partner you have. We will not promise you the number-one spot; anyone who does is guessing.
What if something breaks after you launch?
If you are on a care plan, you tell us and we handle it — usually before you even notice. If you are not, we are still here; we just sort it out and get you back up. Either way, you are not alone with a white screen and a sinking feeling.
